She clearly understood our ask and provided so many great suggestions given her vast experience of weddings at Cissbury, from what worked well and what to avoid. Every single member of staff at Cissbury are so attentive, from the days leading up to the wedding helping with planning and ideas. We wish we could live the day over and over again. Our wedding was beyond special, it was pure magic and will be a core memory in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Thank you for making our day beyond perfect in every single way."

The bride and her bridesmaids got ready in The North Wing Apartment. The Bride wore a modern romantic gown designed by Jane Hill Bridal, sourced from Hannah Elizabeth Bridal. The dress features a fitted silhouette with delicate all-over lace, a soft illusion plunge neckline, and wide straps for an elegant, contemporary feel. She kept her look fresh and natural with soft, glowing makeup and a relaxed updo by Chantelle Smith and Rebecca Eve. The bridesmaids complemented the palette beautifully in dresses from Six Stories.
The groom opted for a timeless yet stylish look in a tailored navy suit by Marc Darcy, sourced from Astares Menswear paired with a light waistcoat and patterned tie, the outfit strikes the perfect balance between classic and contemporary.
Garden celebrations, grazing boards and feel-good acoustic vibes
After the ceremony, guests gathered in the garden for a joyful confetti moment before enjoying a relaxed drinks reception in the sunshine. A beautifully styled grazing board was served by the talented team at Fresh Catering and Events offering a delicious selection for guests to enjoy. The atmosphere was elevated by live acoustic music from Niko Labrou, whose warm guitar sound and soulful vocals filled the garden and created the perfect soundtrack for a truly memorable afternoon.
The Wedding Breakfast
From there, the day flowed effortlessly into the wedding breakfast where speeches were met with smiles, laughter, and raised glasses.
Styling
Cissbury Barns, with its characterful interiors and countryside surroundings, requires little decoration allowing couples to embrace a more natural, understated style. Lauren and Jon enhanced this with soft seasonal flowers provided by Wild Botanicals Floral Design and simple textures that complemented the setting without overpowering it.
As the afternoon continued, the atmosphere remained warm and easy-going. Guests lingered over conversation, enjoying the relaxed pace of the day, often the moments couples remember most fondly.

Later, as golden light filled the barn, the space transformed for the evening celebrations. After cutting the cake, provided by Monica's Bakes, Lauren and Jon shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends, before the dance floor quickly came to life thanks to the super talented DJ Mike Readings.

Guests moved freely between the barn and the surrounding landscape, taking in views of the South Downs, stopping to enjoy delicious loaded fries from Summit Tasty, before returning to the energy of the celebration inside.
