DRINKS RECEPTION
Following the very important “confetti shot” and perhaps a group photo or two, it is time to relax and enjoy a drink with your guests in the beautiful brick and flint walled gardens. A sun trap, surrounded and shielded by mature trees; this is a wonderful setting all year round.
The stretch tent on our patio outside the bar area also offers a great space for celebrating if the weather should become inclement and our outdoor patio heaters ensure a cosy spot for all. Garden games and live music work brilliantly, providing a fun and relaxed environment for your guests to mingle, whilst your caterer keeps everyone topped up with drinks and canapés.
Cissbury offer a no corkage policy for your drinks reception straight after your ceremony.
WEDDING BREAKFAST
The West Barn with our beautiful fairy light canopy and stunning crystal or rustic chandelier awaits your guests and will be ready and set up in advance for you. The big reveal of this barn will be when guests are invited to take their seats for the wedding breakfast.
Seating up to 120 guests at your choice of either round or long wooden rustic tables paired with our lime wash chiavari chairs or perhaps you might prefer a banqueting style set-up for up to 92 guests.
Wireless microphones are on hand for the speeches and our led lighting and AV sound system provide just the right mood for your guests to enjoy your celebratory meal with you. Our associate catering partners, featured in this brochure, will work with you to ensure you have exactly the style of food you desire.
WALLED GARDENS
Beautiful brick and flint walled gardens surround the Barns. Your guests are welcomed through either the beautiful secret garden, or from the top entrance into the large and imposing courtyard complete with its very own Pétanque court.
The enclosed ceremonial and patio walled gardens are attractive and relaxing spaces for friends and family to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of being hidden in the South Downs. All of the brick and flint walled gardens have led lighting to enhance the ambience throughout the day and into the evening.
AT THE BAR
The Cissbury Bar is a fully licensed bar and drinks service offering a spacious and fun atmosphere which is perfectly positioned leading from the main barn and onto the paved patio garden area. Comfy sofas, audio visual sound system, fabulous mood lighting and a rustic charm all of its own.
A great place for guests to meet before your ceremony and of course for the evening celebrations. The bar is open throughout the day and evening serving an excellent wide range of drinks at pub prices and hot drinks from our Barista machine. Always a popular spot for guests to enjoy a chat with friends and family in between dancing the night away. Espresso Martini anyone?
UNDER THE STRETCH TENT
Our stylish and large stretch tent provides a fabulous indoor outdoor space over our patio area adjacent to the bar and the main barn.
Not only does the stretch tent look super cool it gives great versatility with shelter from the sun and the odd shower.
This beautiful space has comfortable sofas and chairs, tables and poseur beer barrels for guests to relax and enjoy throughout the day and into the evening.
Festoon lighting from the ceiling and outdoor heaters ensure a cosy space as the sun goes down.
A wonderful space for enjoying coffee after your wedding breakfast, setting up sweetie, card and present tables and also big enough to welcome photobooths.
THE PARTY
Get ready to dance the night away with friends and family as the barns take on a new and magical feel.
Once your wedding breakfast has concluded, guests will be welcomed into the bar and under the stretch tent to greet evening guests, whilst the main barn is transformed for the evening party.
Your chosen band or DJ will arrive to set-up ready to get the party started with your first dance. The Cissbury bar is directly connected to the main barn and patio area so guests can hop on and off the dance floor never missing their favourite track and ensuring the dance floor is always full.
