Timings and Access
Your exclusive hire gives you and your caterers access from 08:00 on the day of your wedding. Last orders at the bar are at 23:00. All guests must be departed by 24:00.
There is NO corkage charge if you would like to supply your own drinks for your wedding reception and wedding breakfast. This is applicable for after your Wedding ceremony and concludes when you meal has finished for your Wedding Breakfast. This applies to Wedding bookings only.
The Front Lawns are a perfect setting for a marquee with the Wow factor. Additional luxury toilets will need to be hired. The lawn hire charge is £3,500. We can accommodate marquees for up to 300 guests. Please visit our page with information on excellent marquee suppliers that would be happy to give you a competitive quote.
At Cissbury Barns we have parking for up to 80 cars and up to 150 cars in our main car park which is situated near to the House. The car parks have bollard lighting for the evenings. Cars may be left overnight at your own risk and must be collected the following morning by 11:00.
The nearest train station is Worthing Central. Seven miles from Cissbury. A short fifteen minute car journey.
If you would like to arrive by helicopter this can be arranged and our terrace lawns can make the perfect landing pad as there are no nearby overhead wires.
Please ensure that you advise your guests to pre-book their taxis for the end of the evening as all guests will have to be departed from the the Barns by midnight. Please see our finishing touches section for local company information.
Civil Wedding Ceremonies
When you have decided on Cissbury as the venue for your Wedding ceremony you will need to book a registrar. To do this, simply book your civil ceremony direct with West Sussex County Council, www.westsussex.gov.uk or telephone them on Tel: 01243 642222.
Biodegradable confetti and rose petals are permitted.
Smoking is not allowed in any of the Barns or the Bar area, but is allowed in the gardens and outside spaces.
Fireworks are permitted at Cissbury by prior arrangement. All firework displays must be carried out by a dedicated fireworks display company who have carried out the necessary site visit and risk assessment at the venue. Firework displays must be set off no later than 22:00. Due to the livestock we have within the grounds of Cissbury we do not allow any Chinese lanterns.
Booking and Payment
Once you have decided that Cissbury is the venue for your wedding or event we will send you our booking form and terms and conditions.
We require a 40% deposit with your signed booking form to confirm your booking. Your final invoice will be sent two months before your wedding date which must be paid in full prior to your wedding.
